Cat with FIV PetPlanet Vets PPAdmin pettalk@petplanet.co.uk |

One of my four year old male cats has just been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. I have another cat who does not have FIV. As they are brothers, we do not really want to split the cats up, they have been together all of their lives. But I need to know what I practically need to do to enable me to keep both cats living together and prevent my cat who does not currently have FIV from getting it. I have read many articles on the internet about how contagious the disease is but they all seem to be conflicting over whether the cats should be let out, fed together or allowed to groom each other etc. Please can you help.
