I tried crate training with my 2nd pup as I felt she needed 'protection' from the older one who was intent on showing her who was the boss. However, the little one was desperately unhappy at being separate from her big sister even though she was being bullied something rotten (she likes being bullied we think !) so no it didn't work for my pup. However, I know of several friends who take their dogs to work with them and it worked a treat in that situation. I did find that both my dogs were toilet trained within 8 days and about 3 weeks and I picked them up in December and September respectively so the weather wasn't on my side either !! It just took a lot of patience, lots and lots of little trips into the garden and one word every time they went. Now they go on command !! I also got up in the middle of the night for about 2 weeks - that was fun in the rain at 3am !! But I have to say it worked !! Best of luck - let us all know how it goes - and also 'they' do say that bitches are much easier to house train than dogs. Penelope
