I am looking after an elderly guinea pig who has extensive hair loss on her back and especially her belly. There are no signs of redness or soreness or flaky skin and she is not scratching. Can you offer any suggestions as to cause or treatment. (Her owners really could not be bothered with this poor animal, so I would like to do what I can whilst she is in my care.)
